Lady Georgina Williams was born in Little Rock, Arkansas. She is a third oldest child of six children and was three months old when her parents relocated to St Louis, Missouri, where they joined Kennerly Temple Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Bishop R. J. Ward.
Over twenty years ago, while attending the church anniversary celebration for her Godfather, Pastor Ollie Boyd in Jackson, Missouri, Lady Williams heard the keynote message preached by Bishop (then Elder) William L. Harper, Jr., who was the Pastor of Christ Community Temple COGIC. A stirring came within her spirit that told her this preacher would be her Pastor. The following Sunday, she united with Christ Community Temple, and she flourished in salvation and was filled with the Holy Ghost.
Lady Williams was a dear helper to the late First Lady of Christ Community Temple, Assistant Supervisor Mother Mary Louise Harper, as well as a dutiful member of the Pastor’s Administrative Team. She worked in many capacities of the church such as a Church Greeter, a member of the Nurse’s Unit, and for over 15 years, a Media Team facilitator. Whatever the project or work, Sister Georgina (as she was affectionately called) hands were found at task. Her journey included a leading from the Lord to engage as a Prayer Warrior. As a result of this tug, she became a member of the Prayer Warriors Team and worked locally, as well as with the Eastern Missouri First Jurisdiction Prayer Warriors.
Her love for the Lord is great and she said once she gave her life to Christ “I’M NOT GOING BACK”. Her scope of ministry is wide and she acts as a great evangelist to her family with many of them encouraged to unite with Christ Community Temple. This included a nephew who was diligent in the work of the ministry. At a tender pre-teen age he assisted then Bishop William L. Harper; acted as an usher; was on-point with the Deacon Board; and worked with the Hospitality team. Whatever the need, this young man met the call. He was a tremendous worth to the church and a pride to Lady Williams. Unfortunately, the young man met an untimely death that shocked the congregation and immensely disturbed Lady Williams. Through it all, this sad event taught her how to deal with grief and was later a foundation for her compassion with the ability to assist others through the loss of a loved one.
She embraced a career in the Airline industry 30+ years ago. Her tenure with airline service has literally taken her around the world with specialized safety, security, and emergency medical exercise. She is astute with training and exposure to the nuances of domestic and international terrorism and “can hold her own” with a nervous passenger, an unaccompanied child, a sensitive health crisis, or a violent/combative traveler while flying through clouds overhead.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, in addition to her tried and true career with the airlines, Lady Williams explored opportunities in Real Estate and became an accomplished realtor. She states, “I love helping people find their new home and to see the look on their faces. Because I spend a lot of time with my clients and get to know them on a personal level, people will open up about everything in their life and I can give them Godly counsel.”
Lady Georgina Williams is a busy woman who loves God, her husband and family, and her church. – Christ Community Temple Church of God in Christ. She and Pastor Williams share a blended family of three daughters and five grandchildren with a zeal for Christ with service to God’s people.
Lady Williams’ favorite scripture is Romans 8:28
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose”.
May the Lord bless you real good!
